Registration discounts are available to the following individuals:
• AACC Premium Members
AACC PremiumMembers: Members of Human Kinetics Active Ageing Community Centre are entitled to a 15% discount to the normal registration cost of WCAA 2012. Please enter your premium membership number on completing the on-line registration form.
Students: Students may attend WCAA 2012 at a cost of £350.00 for the full Congress (13th – 17th August 2012), £150.00 for a specified One Day Registration at the Congress, or £300.00 for a specified Two Day Attendance at the Congress. To receive the discount you must be able to either:
- Send in (or scan and email) a photocopy of your University Student Card signed and dated by your Supervisor.
- Send in (or scan and email) a letter confirming you are a student (full or part time) at a University (or Technical College) signed and dated by your Supervisor (with full contact details).
Payment Payment should be made in advance of the Congress by one of the following methods:
1. MasterCard/Visa. Please note that all fees paid by credit card will be charged at the actual exchange rate at the time of the transaction. No other credit cards can be accepted.
2. Cheque or banker’s draft, in pounds sterling only, drawn on a UK bank made payable to ‘Congrex UK/WCAA 2012’

Congrex UK, the Congress Secretariat, will not be responsible for identifying funds transferred directly into the account when the participant name is not mentioned. All bank charges or bank fees associated with the transfer will not be accepted and must be met by the participant.
Please note all bank transfer payments must be received no later than 6 August 2012. If we have not received full payment for your registration fee and have not had any written communication from you in regards to your registration payment by the 6 August 2012 then your registration will be cancelled and you will need to re-register onsite at the Congress at the on-site registration rate.
Cancellation Notification of cancellations must be sent, in writing, to the Congress Organisers. Cancellations will be accepted until Monday, 16 April with a refund of all fees except for an administration fee of 25%. No refunds can be made for cancellations received on or after Tuesday, 17 April 2012. Substitutions of attendees can be made at any time.
Confirmations and Joining Instructions Confirmation of registration will be sent to delegates whose payment has been received. In addition, Joining Instructions will be sent out in July 2012, by email, to assist you with your visit to Glasgow. Please ensure you submit your email address when registering.
Data Protection Your name and address will be contained in the full list of participants, available to all delegates and exhibitors. If you do not wish to have your name included, please indicate on the registration form. We may be supplying names and addresses of participants to sponsors/exhibitors of the event to enable them to contact you with regard to their marketing objectives and/or satellite programme. If you do not wish to have your names included, please indicate on the registration form.
Disclaimer All best endeavours will be made to present the programme as printed. However, the Congress organisers and its agents reserve the right to alter or cancel, without prior notice, any arrangements, timetables, plans or other items relating directly or indirectly to the Congress, for any cause beyond its reasonable control. The Congress organisers and its agents are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such alteration. In the event of cancellation of the Conference all pre-paid fees will be refunded in full. However, the Congress organisers and its agents are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such cancellation. Delegates are advised to take out their own travel insurance and to extend their policy to cover personal possessions as the Congress does not cover individuals against cancellation of bookings or theft or damage to belongings. Tours may be subject to cancellation should minimum numbers not be achieved.
